We started our week here at KIDSEN with a little magic courtesy of our friends at Dream Catcher Parties. We really enjoyed our first in store event as did Fairy Sparkle and all her little helpers.
There was storytelling, musical rattles and some fantastic fairy crowns were made…even the boys enjoyed it. There were no tantrums – just tiaras (in the making).
We plan to have regular free monthly events in collaboration with Dreamcatchers, so watch this space for details as places will be limited.
With Midsummer fast approaching, the new edition of Life West 9 magazine has a big Scandinavian theme this month. Learn how to create a Scandinavian look in your home, pick up some Scandinavian Fashion Tips, cook up a midsummer feast with their featured recipes and of course read about your favourite Scandi store.
Kidsen’s own Corina gave Life West 9 a very insightful low-down on life at Kidsen including our plans for the future, whilst at the same time reminiscing about childhood in Sweden.

We’ve been really busy doing shoe fittings in our Kensal Rise Store this week. It seems everyone wants to get their kids into some more comfortable footwear now that the sun’s out.
We’re not complaining, we love those scrummy toes!

Lights, camera, action. BBC 3 popped in last week to film a new episode for their hit series ‘Mad About The House’ – a show about revamping your home.
We enjoyed playing host to the crew and the show’s star – baby Storm, who is hoping for a brand new nursery when the show is finished . See if you can spot your favourite Scandi Store when the show airs in May. You may spot her wearing the Pink Peltors she picked up whilst visiting KIDSEN.
Sweden at Christmas is brilliant. If you walk into virtually any shop and pick a present, they hand wrap it for you. Beautifully. For Free! When you’ve got a ton of presents to buy, you really appreciate this. You just hand over a beautifully wrapped present and take the credit.
We like this idea, so we’re now offering free gift wrapping on most of the products on our website. The only exception being big items like prams, and cots etc.
You can also add a message which we’ll hand write on a nice card for free. Don’t worry, we’ve got good handwriting too!
