This week our battle of the Scandinavians sees Sarah Lund go head to head with Birgitte Nyborg in the place for the show you’re most likely to watch when the kids are tucked up in bed.

KIDSEN Goes Abroad
We’ve just got back from an Easter break in Greece which gave us a good chance to get our little product testers to put some of our latest collection through it’s paces…
The Sun-San sandals are a firm favourite of the girl’s and they loved the latest colours which they picked themselves (of course).
For Splashing around Big M chose the Mini Rodini Pineapple Swimsuit – Little M decided to go for a Moomin Bathing suit which (shock horror) was not from KIDSEN!
The Mini Rodini Pineapple Dress was great both on and off the beach!
The Shampoodle Dresses were great for keeping cool, whilst still staying protected from the sun…
And of course, they won’t go anywhere without their Hummel Trainers – even up the Acropolis

Friday Fun: Battle of the Ducks
Fresh into KIDSEN are our latest range of collectible bath ducks. Who will be crowned the coolest duck in KIDSEN? Just for fun this Friday, show a duck some love and vote on your favourite. We’ll stock up on the king of the ducks!
Who is your favourite?
DJ DUCK
Just back from his latest set on South Beach, DJ Duck knows how to get any party started, closing the night with the classic slowjam Bridge over Troubled Water. Will he get your vote?
PRINCESS DUCK
Princess Duck is used to the finer things in life, so when she visits KIDSEN we make sure we have only organic granary sour dough bread otherwise it’ll be tantrums and tiaras. That aside, she’s very lovable. Don’t disappoint her – give her your vote today!
COWBOY DUCK
The strong silent type, Cowboy Duck is a man of few words – in fact all we ever get out of him is Quack and Quack Quack. Still he’s good in a crisis and ties a mean knot. Well worth a vote!
QUEEN DUCK
Whilst she could order you to give her your vote, the queen is way too sophisticated for that. She’ll just get her Beefeater (below) to arrest you and behead you instead. Better vote quick!
BEEFEATER DUCK (ROYAL GUARD)
Incredibly loyal to the Queen the Royal Guard is a patriot through and through and will stop at nothing to ensure the queen wins. We’ve had to reinforce our server to stop him hacking in and rigging this competition. Still his loyalty is probably worth rewarding with a vote!
All of the new range of collectible bath ducks can be found at KIDSEN

Happy ‘Pääsiäinen’, ‘Påske’ and ‘Påsk’.
This is how you say ‘Easter’ in Finnish, Norwegian, Danish and Swedish.
Although there are many similarities to British traditions, like Easter egg hunts, the Scandinavians have their own unique traditions.
Swedish children get to paint their eggs and dress up as Easter witches knocking doors asking for sweets (not dissimilar to Halloween tradition). According to Swedish folklore, during Easter the witches fly to the ‘Blue Mountain’ to meet the devil.
And Swedish homes are filled with birch twigs decorated with colorful feathers and the big lunch or dinner takes place on Holy Saturday rather than Easter Sunday.
The Norwegians have a lot to celebrate as they get the longest holiday break in Europe, with Easter holidays starting on Wednesday afternoon and ending on Easter Monday. And their long weekend is spent solving crimes, as the nation becomes obsessed with ‘Easter-Thrillers’ – with even the milk cartons taking part with murder stories printed on their sides.
And the Danes like to be romantic, starting their tradition way back in February, when they send teasing letters, writing secret poems to people they like. If the recipient can guess who sent the poem they receive a reward in form of an egg at Easter.
And in Finland they celebrate with Easter egg hunts for the kids and ham or lamb for lunch after church on Easter Sunday.
Whatever you do and how ever you wish to spend your Easter we wish you all a chocolate filled and relaxing Easter.
Glad Påsk!
From the KIDSEN Team
