Loving Stella’s Little Project

Stella_Little_Project

The McCartney’s are never short of a good idea or two.  Last year Mary McCartney partnered with Mini-A-Ture to produce some gorgeous tees.  Our customers loved them and it was nice that all the money from them went to help the Sunway Children’s Home.

This year, Stella McCartney has come up with the genius idea of giving kids the chance to see their artwork featured in one of her collections.

Your child’s artwork can be uploaded directly to her site and people can vote on the pics – the two most popular win.  It’s a great idea and a fantastic way to include everyone in the launch of Stella’s new collection.

All Change At KIDSEN

IMG_1006

Spring is kind of in the air, so we thought it was time to flip things around in our store.  Time to bring in Ylva, our super talented in-house stylist to dress our Windows.

We’ve also got a Deluna Kids Pop Up Shop in for a short spell and a new Interiors Corner, so it really is all change!

Oh, and here’s a pic (snapped on our iPhone) of some of the new stuff we have in store including the super comfortable nursing glider chairs by Olli Ella.  They really are AMAZING.  They’ll be online very soon, we’re too busy relaxing in them at the moment….

Scandinavian Pancake Day

semla

Whilst the British will be celebrating Pancake day this Tuesday, we Scandinavians will be tucking into a round bun called ‘Semla’. It’s a cardamom spiced wheat bun filled with almond paste and topped with cream – sometimes eaten in a bowl of warm milk. Sounds a little odd? Well maybe a smidgen – but trust us when we say these totally addictive buns are worth every calorie which graces them.

If you want a taste of these most unusual treats there is only one place to sample them. You’ll find not only the best Semla in London, but the best Semla in the world, at our good friends – The Scandinavian Kitchen in Central London. We treat our staff, friends and occasionally customers with their heavenly baking. It’ll be worth the visit! www.scandikitchen.co.uk

A word of caution though, go easy – The Swedish king in 1771, famously ate 14 of them and died from indigestion! So make sure you stop at the 13th.
